The Desert Artists League Executive Board, led by Co-President Marcela and Mark Everitt, has approved a three -year lease for the League’s first permanent gallery at 211 Balsam Street in Ridgecrest- a public space to show and all members’ art, host classes and masterclasses, and gather the artist who created DAL since 1957, This milestone belongs to every member and volunteer who kept the DAL spirit alive.

Maturango Museum “Call to Artists” for the Open Studio Tour 2026
The Maturango Museum is now accepting applications (due by August 23) from local artists for the Maturango Museum’s Open Studio Tour 2026. Artists open their studios for the 2-day event so guests can visit and purchase artwork. The tour will be Saturday and Sunday, October 24,25, 10 am – 4 pm each day. Each artist will also have their artwork displayed in the 2-month Open Studio Tour Exhibit (Sep 12 – Nov 2) at the Museum and be a part of the Artists’ Reception on Sunday, September 13, 2 – 4 pm.
