Nancy Crawford
I love the creative process. My goal is to have my artwork offer a few moments pleasure to viewers in this ever faster paced world.
BIO:
Art has always been an important part of my life. From grade school, my teachers complimented my artwork and encouraged me. I studied art as a minor all through college and continued with classes as opportunities arose. I gathered an extensive reference library and have extensive notes from many different teachers. All are great inspiration to create new art.
Presently I prefer watercolor because of the free flow of the paint and because it offers the viewer more mystery or a reason to keep looking at a picture. Watercolor paint moves itself on a wet page and challenges the painter to keep up. However, I still paint in oil, acrylic and on glass, quilt, craft, bead, and attempt almost anything that calls for creativity.
I paint almost all subjects (or abstract) but do like animals and the local subjects particularly.
I have been teaching introductory watercolor since 2007 and enjoy the painting and the participants immensely.
