Meetings

General meetings are held on the first Monday of the month (unless it falls on a holiday, then we meet on the second Monday) from September through May. We meet at the Church of the Nazarene 571 North Norma St. Ridgecrest at 6:30 PM. Meetings are open to anyone interested in art, whether making or simply enjoying art. Guests are welcome. There is no charge to attend the first time, afterward, we ask guests to pay $5.00. The time and date of Board meetings are held at the discretion of the President.

Board Meetings

Board Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, location is the California Welcome Center, 880 N China Lake Blvd, Ridgecrest, CA 93555. The contact phone is 760.375.8202

About DAL

The Desert Artists’ League was founded in 1957 by a group of artist friends. We are a talented group of people who work in various mediums: watercolor, acrylic, oil, encaustic, ceramics, pastel, mixed media, and fiber arts. We love to share camaraderie, enthusiasm, tips and techniques.

Over the years we have learned from well-known artists such as Brenda Swenson, Tom Fong, Howard Rees, Roland Lee, Anita Wolf, Iris Adams, Mary Barrie, William Hosner, Linda Kemp, Dale Laitenen, Lian Zhen, M. Katherine Hurley, David Musser, Fran Nichols, Colleen Reynolds, Mada Leech, Charlotte White, Kristine Buchanan, Linda Viborovik, Lon Levin, Peggy Sands, Helga Batman-Kloplin, Todd Arthur Wolf, Jean Krumbein, Maryann Thomas, Hamil Ma, Ramon Ramirez, Richard McKinley, Rich Gallego, Joe A. Oakes and others.

We have participated in shows and studio tours, participated in the local Fair, and been supportive of each other.
